My Wish List...

I am on a makeup ban for a while (I am saving for something more practical. clue: gadget) but I decided that I cannot really do without good skin care products.

So while beauty loots are out of the equation for a while, here, on the other hand, are some of the skin care items I would love to have right after, or before- whatever is more convenient-  I have bought that much-needed gizmo.

Clinique Eye Cream

There are a few Clinique eye creams and I am not quite sure which one to get yet. But definitely I want to try one from the line.

Clinique Moisturizing Lotion

I kinda sorta already know where to get this for an affordable price. I can't wait to get my hands on it actually.

Face Mask

I'm not quite sure what brand to get yet. I'm still on the lookout for something really promising. But the priority on that "to find" list are Korean brands. Or Japanese. Whichever comes first.

Novuhair Products

This is actually for my dad. I saw it featured on TV and decided to get one for him. It is an all natural shampoo designed to encourage hair growth. It has good reviews ( or good marketing strategy really. shame on me) so I decided to try it. I have to buy this from Manila though. I wonder how I could do that...

Marks and Spencer Bath and Body Products

I used to love these products from Marks and Spencer but I stopped when I had to go back home. There are no Marks and Spencer stores here I'm afraid. I especially loved their talcum powders! All the scents were just sublime. Oh, memories... Snapping back.

That's it. Hopefully I get to accomplish this wish list. But for the meantime, I can't wait to buy that freakin' gadget!

You Disappoint Me: The Body Shop Mango Body Butter

Do you enjoy using body butters? These products are so luxurious because they are so rich and creamy, not to mention they smell really good.

However, one thing that I find disappointing about body butters are their greasy and sticky feel on the skin. Whenever I use one, I feel like dusts start to stick all over me. It is really uncomfortable and annoying.

One body butter I have never tried to finish is The Body Shop Mango Body Butter.

I initially loved its ripe mango smell. I find it appealing and that mango is one of my favorite fruits. But this hype faded a few uses into it. The icky feel on the skin is simply bothering...

Therefore, I decided that no matter how I love mangoes, this body butter simply has to go. Ever Bilena's body butters were so much better but I think they discontinued it already.

Take note though that some body butters are not as thick as The Body Shop's therefore they might feel lighter on the skin.

Have a nice day everyone!

Skin Care Product On Review: Nivea Hand Age Defying Q10 Plus

Our hands are no less than prone to sun damage but unfortunately, they are often neglected when putting on sun protection on the skin. As a result, as we can see on others and maybe on ourselves, the hands show signs of sun damage in forms of sun spots, uneven skin tone, and even wrinkles.

Wouldn't it be horrendous to see our face tight and firm while our hands look icky and wrinkled?

Therefore, we must also care for our hands as we do for the rest of our face and body. As for me, I do this by using Nivea Hand Age Defying Q10 Plus.

It is a hand cream made to protect the skin against sun damage and early signs of skin aging.

This product never leaves my purse so that I can replenish my hand with moisture whenever I need it.

As I only use it on my hands, this tube will last me for months.

Skin Care Product On Review: St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

If like me, you fear and dread the thought of having wrinkles this early, then you must have probably tried one too many skin care products that promises to ward off this fear.

One of the more affordable brands I have tried is St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

This jar is huge and contains an ample amount of product, to think that it only costs a little over Php250.00.

Well, as an easily swayed consumer, my eyes opened wide at the "Collagen Elastin" on the label. As we all know, collagen is what will help our skin retain its elasticity thereby minimizing or preventing the formation of wrinkles.

  • I tested this product for a few weeks but unfortunately, it does not deliver its promise. In fact, I only saw my skin plain and having some hint of bumps. Very tiny bumps for that matter.

  • Another worry is that the container does not come with a spatula. Therefore, it is prone to contamination so you must always have clean hands before scooping out a dollop of this moisturizer.

  • For an easier use, you can also transfer the contents in to a different container. A bottle with a pump is an example.

I must stress however that these observations are purely mine. It may or may not have the same effect on others.

Have you tried this product yourself? How did it fare? I am interested to know. :)
